The concert raised funds for both Tech Athletics and The Mustard Seed Ranch.
"The idea was first mentioned to me by Buddy Pearson, while I was doing an interview with him for the Herald Citizen. I thought it was a great idea to support my Alma mater," Atkins said.
"And the idea of supporting the Mustard Seed Ranch has been in the back of my mind for a while. Rex is doing a great thing for the Upper Cumberland. It's an honor to be a part of his dream. I think it truly represents the hearts of the folks that live here."
Phil Vassar supported Atkins' effort, opening the night's show.
